Family Reunification Support Inside the System
Our commitment to family reunification extends beyond community settings. CCDN has established a dedicated partnership with the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles to bring healing and preparation directly to incarcerated parents.
Through this effort, Mr. Ralph Sims of Brother Let’s Talk facilitates 24/7 Dads, an evidence-based fatherhood curriculum that promotes responsible fathering, healthy relationships, and positive decision-making. These workshops are conducted within correctional settings, providing fathers with the tools and mindset needed to reconnect with their families and reintegrate successfully into society.
Our Impact
This comprehensive program is a vital part of our mission to build stronger families and resilient communities. Whether in the community or behind the walls, CCDN's Motherhood and Fatherhood Initiative Programs meet parents where they are and walk with them toward where they want to be. About the 24/7 Dads Curriculum

As part of our extended support for family reunification and fatherhood engagement, CCDN partners with Mr. Ralph Sims of Brother Let’s Talk to deliver the 24/7 Dads® curriculum—an evidence-based program developed by the National Fatherhood Initiative. This curriculum is designed specifically for men to improve their parenting skills and fathering attitudes, whether they are currently in the home, navigating reentry, or working toward reconnecting with their children.
The 24/7 Dads® program is structured around five key areas:
-
Self-Awareness
-
Fathering Skills
-
Parenting Skills
-
Relationship Skills
-
Self-Care
Facilitated inside the Alabama Department of Corrections Pardons and Paroles facilities, this program:
-
Helps incarcerated fathers understand their role in their children's lives.
-
Encourages emotional engagement and responsible decision-making.
-
Supports a smooth transition back into the family unit post-release.
-
Provides tools for ongoing personal development and family strengthening.
By including this curriculum in our initiative, CCDN furthers its mission of restoring families and rebuilding communities—one parent at a time.
