Volunteers are essential to the mission of Community Care Development Network (CCDN). By sharing your time, talents, and compassion, you help us meet immediate needs, create educational opportunities, and strengthen individuals and families throughout our community.

CCDN currently offers volunteer opportunities within our two primary service areas: Human Support Services and Education Support Services. Opportunities are available for individuals, students, families, churches, civic organizations, businesses, and community groups.

Human Support Services

Human Support Services address immediate needs by connecting individuals and families with food, essential supplies, and community resources.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

• Receiving and unloading food deliveries

• Sorting food and essential supplies

• Packing grocery boxes and preparing food orders

• Setting up Community Food Hub distributions

• Greeting and registering participating households

• Serving as food distribution runners or loaders

• Placing groceries into vehicles

• Organizing the warehouse and storage areas

• Assisting with inventory and administrative records

• Supporting resource-navigation and special service projects

• Helping with facility organization and cleanup

Education Support Services

Education Support Services help youth and adults develop the academic, life, and workforce skills needed to achieve greater stability and long-term success.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

• Tutoring students in reading, mathematics, and language

• Providing classroom and academic support

• Assisting students with computer and digital-literacy skills

• Supporting financial-literacy and life-skills activities

• Helping students prepare résumés and employment applications

• Conducting mock interviews

• Participating in career-readiness activities

• Serving as a career or student mentor

• Sharing professional knowledge as a guest speaker

• Assisting with educational events and graduation activities

• Providing general administrative and program support

Who Can Volunteer?

Volunteer assignments are based on current organizational needs, volunteer availability, experience, and the requirements of each service area. Certain positions involving students or confidential information may require additional screening, training, or a background check.
