Impact Areas: 

Family & Life Services, Mentoring, Education, and Community Outreach

  • Family and Life Services-emergency resource connection to utility and rent assistance, employment opportunities, and emergency food, toiletries, and diapers.

  • Family and Youth Mentoring-Mentoring for parents, guardians, grandparents, and youth.  We have 3 mentoring groups. 

    • Youth Groups are Precious Pearls of Promise (Young ladies 11-18) and Diamonds in the Rough (Young men 11-18)

    • Parents Helping Parents is for parents, guardians, grandparents assisting with parenting barriers and challenges and life development skills

  • Education Services include life skills, essential job skills, GED Tutoring, and reading and math tutoring for middle school and high school-aged youth. 

    • Inspire Education Program, which teaches career soft skills and life skills offering employment opportunities, trade opportunities, and financial education.  This program starts at age 16 and up.

    • GED Tutoring is in partnership with Birmingham JumpStart.  Tutoring is provided for individuals who have dropped out of high school starting at age 16 and up.   

    • LearnWorks Math and Reading tutoring for middle school and high school-aged youth.

  • Community Outreach includes participation in community service projects that fall within the scope of our service mission.
